Palms Food Court, Glen Waverley

In the middle of suburbia lies a little slice of Malacca. Everything about this place is so Malaysian lahhhhh... From the whimsical decor and the cheap furniture, to the rumbling air conditioners that produce nothing but recycled hot air, and finally the impossibly cheap but delicious food, everything reminded me of similar places in Malaysia.

Luckily for us, this particular visit happened on a Thursday. Thursdays at Palms is buffet day. At $12.90 per person, the buffet lunch is a steal.

With plenty of spare change we also ordered ourselves two Teh Tariks. These ones were definitely not out of a packet since they were strong on the tea and light on the sweetener.

As for the food, they had a bit of everything. Samosas, spring rolls prawn crackers and onion pakodas for starters. Followed by some stir fries and curries with roti, basmati rice and/or fried rice. I was greedy and had about four plates full. Again, the eggplant enthralled me.
